Internation Night Auditions
Hey Interactors!
MVs annual International Night is coming up on April 9th. For those of you who are new to Interact or just need a little reminder, International Night is a show and dinner that Interact organizes to fundraise for our annual cause. Performances are usually done by high school students and are around 5-10 minutes long. In the past we have had Shinurl, Tripod, American Chocolate, and Monta Vista Bhangra.

If you have questions, email interactshowcase@googlegroups.com. You MUST sign up by filling out this google form below BY FEBRUARY 10TH. The dates for auditions will be emailed to you, but you must sign up below ( only one person per performance team).
Sweatshirt Ordering!
Member Meeting October 13th
Hello Interactors :)
While we rap up the votes and edit the sweatshirt design to make it look complete, we would like to let you guys know that we will be PRE-ORDERING sweatshirts. This means that when we finalize the design tomorrow night, we will be asking you to fill out a form if you want to buy a sweatshirt. Only people who pre-order a sweatshirt will be getting one ( unless we end up having extra). If you like the design, and you have some Interact spirit, please sign up to get a sweatshirt. If you sign up, you are committing to buy a sweatshirt. The price estimate will be listed in tomorrows email. Signing up for sweatshirts will be cut off on TUESDAY NOVEMBER 17TH. So check your email tom for more details like when you have to pay, when they will arrive and such :)
More importantly, we have a MEETING tom! Friday BRUNCH as usual in D103. We will be announcing Member of the Month as well as releasing the results on who made it to Project Connecting Communities :) We also have SHIRTS!!!! Sorry for the long wait, but they are here. Please bring $8.00 and come soon, because they will go fast. Starting from tomorrow onwards, you will receive a strike if you do not wear an Interact shirt to activities, so it is important that you get your shirt TOM!
Also, one important thing: Slumdog Millionaire Concert SATURDAY NOVEMBER 14TH 6:30 pm@ Flint Center. Interact will be selling tickets for $10.00/person. We encourage you to ask your parents whether they want one.Proceeds go to Rotarys polio eradication project! Please support us and bring money to buy ticket(s) tom!
We will be having more December activities up for those of you looking to get your 8 hours done :)

Sweatshirt Guidelines
1. You may use the Interact logo from any website if you want.
2. The sweatshirt is intended to be for a longterm use. Please do not to make it related to the International project because we change that every year.
3. Keep it under 3 colors.
4. Please design a front and a back. You can leave the back blank if you want.
Sweatshirt designs are due Wednesday, November 4th. Voting will begin on Friday, November 6th.

October 30th Member Meeting
Hello Interactors,
Happy almost Halloween :)
Just a friendly reminder that we have a meeting tomorrow(October 30th) at BRUNCH in D103. Note the time and location. We will be introducing to you this years international project and talking about World Interact week (NOv 2-6) as well as awarding the Member of the Month.
Shirts will be in the next meeting, so hang tight.
We have on special announcement: Interact sweatshirts :) We will be getting Interact sweatshirts this year! We want to get them before Winter Break, and give you an opportunity to design one too. If you would like to design a sweatshirt the deadline is NOV 4th. Voting will start Friday NOV 7th and will end on Friday NOV 13th :)
To sum up :
Wednesday, November 4: deadline for all sweater submissions
Friday, November 13: Deadline for sweater design voting

Come help out at the California State Competition at Monta Vista!
It is hosted by the United Spirit Association but the Monta Vista Dance Team helps with this and would love your support.
Help by being a runner: you will be taking things from the gym to the upstairs leadership room for part of the time and the rest of the time you will do miscellaneous help.
Please sign up- it will be fun!

Stanford Concession on 2010-02-13
Hey guys, Stanford Concession is when we sell food at the stanford games, and we get to watch the game as well! There are just some basic rules (along with the MV rules): No open toed shoes, wear your interact shirt and jeans, and girls must tie your hair back. Mostly importantly, NO HORSEPLAY. The event is Men's Basketball from 2:30pm- 8:30pm. The event is located at the Maples Pavillion. Valentines Fun Run! Shift 1: 8:10AM-11:30AM on 2010-02-13
The volunteer job is this:Arrive by 8:15 am at the water table station just north on the path near the Perc Ponds in Campbell (aka Los Gatos Creek Park, Santa Clara County park). That way parents can drop them off there.
There will be a table set up with an orange igloo and several 5 gal. water jugs + cups. Volunteers pour the water in the orange jugs and proceed to pre-fill the water cups so when the runners come by the water is ready to grab and go.
We will have garbage bags and gloves to pick up the cups (runners drink and toss the cups down). All the trash has to be picked up at the end.
It's a 10K run and we'll have several hundred runners coming and going past this water station.
Come out and have fun the day before Valentines Day! :D
